Partridge nearing new offers

Massillon (Ohio) Washington dual-threat quarterback Robert Partridge has flown under the recruiting radar, so to speak, for much of 2009. That's about to change.
In late June the 6-foot-1, 195-pound prospect from the Buckeye State picked up offers from Marshall, Ohio and Toledo, signaling that his stock was on the rise.

Partridge camped at each of those three schools and the coaches from all of them saw him again when he camped at Ohio State.
"I'm interested in all of them. I'm not going to make a decision on where I'm going until later in the fall," Partridge explained.
He went on to say he has also been receiving a lot of attention from Michigan State, Cincinnati, Iowa State, UNLV, Wyoming, Akron and Central Michigan.
"They want to see what I do during the season," he said. "I didn't play much last year at quarterback but a lot are close to offering. I was a backup quarterback for our first four games. I played a little receiver and I punt, too. Akron wants me as an athlete but all the other schools want me as a quarterback."
While he is unsure of his stats last year, Partridge did lead Washington to a 4-2 record as a starter behind center. Does he have any favorites?
"Not really, but if I had a top three it might be Central Michigan, Toledo and Ohio. Basically I like their offenses. They're spread out and I like the spread offense. I like all the coaches and feel like they're really nice people. They know what they're talking about, too. Plus, they have nice campuses. To me campuses are really important."
