Partridge adding more offers

Quarterback Robert Partridge is a big reason for the Tigers' run.

"It is a great opportunity to play McKinley again," Partridge said. "We lost to them earlier this season. The Massillon-McKinley game is the biggest rivalry in all of high school football, so it is big to play them in the playoffs. It is time for us to try and get redemption. It is always hard to beat a team twice. They know us and we know them. They have a lot of division one athletes. It is going to be a great game."
As Partridge focuses on the playoff run, several schools have offered scholarships or picked up interest. Central Michigan, Kent State, Marshall, Miami-OH, Ohio, and Toledo have offered scholarships.
"Cincinnati, Wake Forest, Kansas, East Carolina, Iowa State and Arizona are all in contact as well," Partridge said. "East Carolina and maybe Kansas are the closest to offering. I am going to start visiting schools at the end of the season. I know I am going to check out Miami-OH and East Carolina."
Right now, Partridge is wide open with his recruitment.
"I just want to be comfortable at whatever school I choose," Partridge said. "I tend to like the schools that in are in college-towns. I want to go to a winning program as well. I am going to make my decision whenever I feel is right."
In twelve games, Partridge has passed for nearly 2,400 yards and 21 touchdowns. He is completing 54.3 percent of his passes. His receiving corps is loaded with talent- senior Bo Grunder and 2011 standouts Devin Smith and Justin Olack.
"I owe all of my credit to my offensive line, and our wide receivers," Partridge said. "The two juniors, I have all the faith in the world in them."
Massillon and McKinley will play Saturday night at the University of Akron and brand new InfoCision Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7 PM.
