Parkinson talks new SEC offer

Colby Parkinson has emerged as arguably the top 2017 tight end in the West and the Westlake Village (Calif.) Oaks Christian standout received his latest offer from Texas A&M. There is definitely interest in the Aggies as Parkinson continues to land major offers from across the country.

WHAT'S NEXT?: Parkinson and his Oaks Christian team are in the playoff run so that is his main focus. This offseason the 2017 four-star will almost definitely take some major visits to schools across the country. Before the offer from Texas A&M, Michigan and UCLA also got in the mix. USC and many others are already involved.
IN HIS WORDS: "The A&M offer is huge. That program has been a force to be reckoned with in the past and they still are. I love the program and really liked what coach (jeff) Banks was explaining to me about how they use their tight ends. It's very, very attractive. They only recently started recruiting me. We've been talking a little through Twitter but then they offered was the first time we talked on the phone."
RIVALS' REACTION: There is definitely interest in the local schools - UCLA and USC - but with so many national offers, Parkinson is staying wide open in his recruitment. He could get a much better feel for things this offseason once he turns more of a focus to the recruiting process. If Stanford or others offer then they could be considered as well since Parkinson is not rushing a decision.
