Parkinson planning some trips

Colby Parkinson has quickly landed offers from Tennessee, Washington and Washington State and plenty of other programs are involved in his recruitment as well. During a wedding this summer, the 2017 four-star prospect from Westlake Village (Calif.) Oaks Christian saw the Oregon schools and many other Pac-12 programs have reached out early on.

WHAT'S NEXT?: Parkinson has already taken a fair amount of visits this offseason and more should be coming during his junior campaign. The 6-foot-6, 220-pound four-star tight end said he plans to see games at Stanford, USC and UCLA and that other trips might be possible as well. Early on, it looks like the Pac-12 schools - even ones that haven't offered - hold an edge in his recruitment.
IN HIS WORDS: "There is nothing yet regarding favorites and I'm just focusing on the season," Parkinson said. "College will work itself out if I perform well so I'm just going to try to win some games this year with my team."
RIVALS' REACTION: Parkinson seems wide open in his recruitment but he was definitely impressed by Stanford and Oregon this summer. Both schools would be highly in the running if an offer comes through. The local schools also seem to intrigue Parkinson, who should see his recruitment take off if he has a big junior season since he's one of the best-looking tight ends in recent years.
