Parker sets last visit

Lovejoy (Ga.) offensive guard / defensive tackle Anthony Parker was preparing to take his last official visit – a trip to Tennessee this upcoming weekend – when he got a call last week from Mississippi State asking him to schedule one more trip. He decided to use his last visit before making a final decision.
Parker, rated the No. 41 offensive guard in America by Rivals.com, has already tripped to Indiana , Maryland, and NC State, but plans to take both of his remaining visits before making a decision. Although widely considered a Tennessee lean, he said that is not necessarily the case.

“Right now they are all even,” he said. “I haven’t taken my visit there yet, and I really want to see how everything goes.
“I had planned to make a decision after that visit, but I didn’t have the Mississippi State visit set then. I will wait until I take that visit before deciding.”
Since he is giving all of his favorites an equal shot, what will he be looking for over the next two weekends?
“Just how comfortable I feel with the players, the coaches, and the environment,” he said. “I will really be looking to see if I am comfortable there without football. Playing time and the education are important too.”
Lovejoy has several D-I prospects this season, and one last consideration will be the opportunity to play with one of them. Jeremy Lomax has already committed to Georgia, while Kisan Flakes is still considering mutual favorite Mississippi State, in addition to Nebraska, a school that would like to have them both.
“Yeah, Nebraska wanted both to go on a visit over there,” Parker said. “I already have all of my visits set up though.”
Parker stands 6-foot-4, weighs 290 pounds, and runs the 40-yard dash in 4.7 seconds.
