Park getting lots of attention

Memphis (Tenn.) University School quarterback Michael Park is a solid Division I-A football and baseball prospect. He has an early scholarship offer for baseball, from Ole Miss, and is getting plenty of attention from football programs throughout the Southeast.
The 6-foot-2, 175-pounder is getting letters for football from Alabama, Arkansas, LSU, Indiana, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Ohio State, Penn State, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Vanderbilt, Auburn and Tennessee in the early going.

The Commodores and Rebels are showing the most attention at this time.
If he receives an offer for football, he will have a decision to make.
"I haven't thought about my football and baseball careers together yet," Park said. "Chances are I am going to pick one. At this point I don't know yet."
Park, who grew up an Ole Miss fan, was invited to the Rebels Junior Day this past weekend in Oxford, but didn't make it because of a baseball obligation.
So what is Park, who does not claim a leader at this time, looking for in a program?
"I ask myself if I can see myself waking up at a school and going to a school even if I didn't play sports," he said. "I'm looking at the school life in general and if the school is fun to be at."
Park, who threw for 1,908 yards and 16 touchdowns in leading MUS to the state title his junior year, models his game after San Diego Chargers quarterback Drew Brees.
"I like how he plays and I have the same build," Park said. "I have just always followed him and thought a lot of him."
