Parish joins the offer group

Like many of his teammates have done, College Station (Texas) A&M Consolidated linebacker C.J. Parish is on the board with his first official scholarship offer. The first one has come from in-state.
The 6-foot, 218-pounder says that other schools have also said an offer will be coming, but Parish isn't jumping ahead and naming favorites too quickly.

"I got my first offer from UTEP," Parish said. "It's a very nice school. I'm trying to learn about it and learn different things. I'm also trying to see what they run on the defense. To be honest, it was kind of unexpected.
"You get your first offer and you're all excited and everything."
LSU, Kansas, Tulsa, Texas Tech, and several others have stopped by the school to check out Parish and his teammates. Baylor is another school that could be sending a written offer to him very soon.
"Yeah, they kind of offered," Parish said. "I just haven't gotten the papers from Baylor like I did with UTEP."
Parish has played defensive end most of his career at A&M Consolidated but he's enjoying the new spot at linebacker.
"I can move a lot quicker," Parish said about the transitition. "I'm right there when the play gets started. I'm adjusting very well."
Plans of summer school and the big ACT/SAT day will fall around June 3. Camps will also be a big priority.
"I'm going to try to go to as many camps as I can get myself to," he said. "OSU is supposed to be having a camp in Houston that I really wanted to go to. The Baylor camp is also what I wanted to hit if I can."
