Parham Returns From Knoxville

Virginia Beach (Va.) Princess Anne defensive end/linebacker Kai Parham is on his way home from Knoxville after his visit to Tennessee this weekend. So how did it go?

"It went great," said the 6-foot-3, 230-pound star. "I had a really good time. It's Tennessee and that's all you can say. The tradition and atmosphere is awesome."

Parham will visit Virginia next weekend and then make a decision between the Vols and Cavs.

"It's going to be really hard," he said of the choice. "Right now I'm still 50/50 between the two. Tennessee says I can play early because they only have one middle linebacker for next season and they'd have to move some outside guys. If I committed to them, I'd be at least the backup and if I'm better then I might start."

So what will it come down to?

"I want to play early and I know I can do that at both places," he said. "I'm not going to let other players and their decisions dictate what I'm going to do. I'm going to visit Virginia and go home and talk it over with my mom. We'll make the decision that's best for me."
