Parham Has Same Two Favorites

Virginia Beach (Va.) Princess Anne linebacker/defensive end Kai Parham enjoyed his time in Texas for the US Army All-American Bowl but it didn’t really change his thinking much.
“I wish I could have played,” said the 6-foot-3, 230-pounder. “I think I could have helped out, but the offense wasn’t able to move the ball against that defense. They were really good.”

Parham is down to Virginia and Tennessee as his final two schools and was being pulled from both sides in Texas.
“Kwakou was working on me, Ahmad (Brooks), Maurice (Stovall) and Brian (Mattes) a bit, but he wasn’t trying to force us or anything,” he said. “And Heath Benedict and Rob Smith were pushing for Tennessee.”
So does any of the talk affect him?
“No,” he said. “I went down there feeling the same way I do now. I will take both visits and decide. It’s been a long time since I’ve been to each school so it will be fun. Right now I don’t have a favorite between the two. If I chose today it would probably be Virginia, but it’s too close to even name one over the other until after the visits.”
