Parenton riding a Green Wave

Thibodaux (La.) E.D. White offensive center Michael Parenton had quite a few options to think about.
Would it be Oklahoma State, which just offered last week?

Would it be Tulane, which has been with him since day one? Would it be Southern Miss, which he visited last week?
Or would it be Louisville, an up-and-coming program heading to the Big East?
“I committed to Tulane yesterday,” Parenton said.
“Oklahoma State came through a few weeks ago with an offer, and I was weighing all my options. I took a visit to Southern Miss last weekend and loved it a lot. Then I visited Tulane this weekend, and it was just as great. Then I started to think about things.
“Tulane is the right place for me. It’s close to home, they have great academics and everybody could come see me play. It’s just a great situation for me.”
Parenton, who is 6-foot-3 and 294 pounds, is a two-star prospect that earned all-district honors as both a junior and a senior.
