Brooklyn (N.Y.) Lincoln wide receiver Nyan Boateng won't name any early leaders, but if you read between the lines you can see that two teams might have the edge.
"The schools I'm interested in are Southern Cal, Pitt, Miami, Florida, Maryland, West Virginia, Michigan and a few more," said the 6-foot-2, 185-pounder. "I don't have a favorite right now, I'm just trying to learn more about each school."
However, when asked what two coaches stand out to him after the May evaluation period, Boateng's answer might hint at a leader.
"Pete Carroll and Walt Harris are both very good coaches and they are offensive minded," he said of the Southern Cal and Pitt coaches. "I want to go to a school that throws the ball and produces good wideouts. That will be important to me."
As a junior, Boateng made 44 catches for 940 yards and 14 scores. He hopes to make a decision either during or after his senior season.
"I want everything in a program -- good coaches, good football and academics," he said. "I'll probably take all five visits and decide from there."
