Panfil decides to accept offer

Crowley (Texas) North Crowley athlete Matt Panfil received his first scholarship offer and it didn’t take him long to accept it.
“I did commit to TCU,” the 6-foot-2, 200-pound Panfil said. “I just felt like I was at home. It was where I needed to be. Everything felt right.

“I was at the TCU camp this summer,” he said. “They offered me a scholarship there. The coaches and the facilities were very nice. It didn’t take long to accept the offer.”
Colorado State, SMU, Rice, Oklahoma State and Texas Tech expressed interest as well, but only TCU came through with the scholarship offer.
“TCU was the only offer I had,” he said. “The others had talked about it. But, they hadn’t come through with an offer.”
Panfil plays strong safety and will likely move up to linebacker in college.
“They have told me they want to try and get me bigger to get me into the linebacker spot. I’m up to about 200 pounds right now.”
Panfil said the commitment to the Horned Frogs is solid.
I am a man of my word. I won't go back on my commitment.”
