Junior To Watch: Mack Frost Jr.
School: Columbia (S.C.) Spring Valley

Position: Defensive End
Size and speed: Frost is 6-foot-5 and 245 pounds. He runs the 40-yard dash in 4.7 seconds.
Honors: Preseason all-state for 2003, all-region, Spring Valley’s MVP and Defensive Player of the Year.
Statistics: Frost had 77 tackles, six sacks, four pass deflections and six tackles for loss during his junior season.
Favorite schools: South Carolina, Virginia, Clemson, Georgia, Maryland.
Skinny: Frost is a dominating star on defense and a very talented student in the classroom. Mack is currently taking college prep courses and is boasting a 3.3 grade point average. When his dad, Mack Sr., was asked about his son’s academics he replied, “We want him to focus on school first.”
Frost cannot wait for spring practice to begin so he can work towards bringing coach Jimmy Noonan and the Spring Valley Vikings a state championship. He currently has a 260-pound bench press, 425-pound squat, and a 270-pound power clean. He’s already attended a junior day at South Carolina.
“It was good. We ate dinner with the coaching staff and watched the game,” he said. “Coach Skip Holtz is my recruiter. I like coach Holtz, he’s nice.”
The Gamecock’s coaching staff has already offered Frost a full scholarship to go along with his offer from Clemson.
When asked which university he is currently favoring at this time, Frost replied, “Georgia. I’ve talked to Coach Richt a little.”
Frost is currently planning on attending summer football camps at South Carolina, Clemson, and Georgia.
