Palm Bay DB picks up offers

May was an exciting month for defensive back Ron Ellis. A transfer this spring from Titusville-Astronaut, Ellis participated for the first time with his new teammates at Palm Bay. He also received his first three scholarship offers during the month.
FlaRecruiting.com caught up with Ron to see what has been going on.
"A whole lot," Ellis said. "I got so many calls and letters. I also got three offers-- Clemson, Illinois, and Michigan. I've got a lot of other schools looking at me. A lot of them are waiting for my ACT score to come in before they offer me. I take the ACT on June 8th."

Ellis said that over 20 schools called during May.
"A lot of schools are telling me they really want me and they're looking for the position that I play," Ellis said.
Any favorites yet?
"U of F, always FSU, Clemson-- I'll keep them in mind, and NC State. I like Boston College too but they're not doing too much recruiting around my area."
Ron Ellis believes he will most likely wait until after his season and take all of his visits before making a decision.
"You never know though," Ellis said. "Knowing me I'm probably going to want to take all my visits. I'll probably take my visits and hold it out to make it interesting."
Palm Bay recently defeated Osceola 41-19 in their spring jamboree. Ellis didn't play because he was recovering from a torn quad. This season Ellis is expected to see time at both safety and running back.
Ellis said he will attend football camps at Florida and UCF this summer.
