Palm Bay DB getting ready for season

Palm Bay (Fla.) defensive back Ron Ellis has been staying close to home this summer recovering from an injury he suffered during spring practice to get ready for the Pirates' upcoming season. Ellis, a spring semester transfer from Titusville (Fla.) Astronaut, now has four scholarship offers.
FlaRecruiting.com caught up with Ron Ellis to see what's been going on this summer.

"Not too much right now, man," Ellis said. "I'm still going to therapy for my quad. I haven't been able to go any camps. I'm trying to heal up and get back on the weights to strengthen my lower body and my upper body. Just getting ready for the season."
In May, Ellis picked up offers from Clemson, Illinois, and Michigan. He said that since then West Virginia has also offered a scholarship.
"I'm still getting letters everday," Ellis said.
Ron Ellis recently scored a 17 on the ACT in his first attempt. He is open among most of the schools recruiting him and it's a pretty long list.
"I've got a couple favorites," Ellis said. "It's still the same although I've added West Virginia. I'm sure I already told you about UCF, Penn State, Nebraska, Georgia Tech, Clemson, Illinois, LSU, Notre Dame, Miami, Florida, Boston College, Northwestern, Auburn, South Florida, Michigan... all of them, man. Right now those are the schools I am looking at. I'm keeping my eyes open for all those schools."
