Pahokee RB adds more offers

After already having scholarship offers from Iowa, Indiana and Georgia, the offer list and favorite list has gotten longer for Pahokee, Fla., standout all-purpose running back Antone Smith.
Antone, who is 5-foot-9 and 180 pounds, has picked up new offers from North Carolina and Rutgers. He’s also juggled up his top six to now look like Georgia Tech, Miami, Michigan, Georgia, Florida State and Iowa.

“I’m going to be looking hard at the academics,” Smith, who has a 2.6 grade-point average, said. “I also will be looking at the location and what the town is like and the tradition that the school has.”
Smith said he has followed Miami, Michigan, Georgia Tech and Georgia while growing up. He plans to camp this summer at Miami, UCF, Iowa and Florida State.
All of this success is great, Smith said, but he owes a lot of it to Leroy Jackson, his coach.
“I appreciate all of the hard work my head coach has done to make me a better player as well as a better young man,” Smith said. “I owe a lot to him pushing me to do my best.”
