Pagano has SEC favorite

Scott Pagano has more than 40 offers but one team is especially standing out for the Honolulu (Hawaii) Moanalua defensive tackle.
It's LSU and Pagano said the coaching staff is a big reason why the Tigers have jumped out in his recruitment.

"Coach (Les) Miles and I have a great connection," Pagano said. "He told me I'm a difference maker and can make a huge impact on the team.
"Coach (Brick) Haley will be here Monday to watch spring practice. Also, they're a family with a powerhouse program and that's what I'm looking for."
LSU could be the frontrunner for Pagano, a 6-foot-3, 280-pound prospect, but he still plans to take official visits before making a decision.
USC recently offered the Moanalua standout who could see a big jump in the latest round of rankings by Rivals.com and he recently said LSU, Baylor, Clemson and Nebraska were his four favorites.
Numerous times Pagano has talked about his relationship with Miles and it seems to be an important part in his recruitment.
LSU has emerged as the top team because of the coaching staff and they've told Pagano he has a chance to play as a freshman.
"I like LSU a lot because I have a good connection with coach Miles and he said I'm a big playmaker and if I went there I could possibly start as a true freshman," Pagano said in a recent interview.
Recently, Pagano said Oregon is no longer in his top 10 after being considered one of his possible favorites. He said the Ducks have not been eliminated but many other teams have moved up.
