Pack leads for Houston

Booneville (N.C.) Starmount cornerback James Houston now has an offer from NC State, and he's showing a lot of interest in the Pack. Who is his leader?
"NC State is definitely my favorite right now," said Houston. "The only reason I'm not committing right now is because I want to wait and make sure I feel this way for a while, and not just for a short time. They're recruiting me as a quarterback, which was something I might not have expected. I'm a good passer, but my style is a lot different than the quarterbacks they have now. I think I'd be a good fit."

Tennessee has also offered the 6-foot-3, 180-pound quarterback/athlete, and the Vols are making a strong push for Houston.
"Tennessee is a place you can't just forget about. Even though NC State is the place I'm looking at for the most part now, you have to be impressed by Tennessee. They're on television all the time and are one of the most talented teams in the country just about every year. I'm positive I'll take official visits to NC State and Tennessee, and maybe some others."
South Carolina and Wake Forest are also in the mix for Houston. Last year as a defensive back Houston intercepted 16 passes, tying a state record. He also amassed more than 2,200 yards and 23 touchdowns.
