Pace CB is a speedster

Another name to watch from the Pensacola area this year is cornerback/wide receiver T.C. Myers from Pace High School. Myers' 4.38 second forty-yard dash time at the Tuscaloosa Nike camp turned some heads and he is now hearing from several schools.

T.C. Myers received phone calls in May from UCF, Kentucky, and Air Force and continues to receive regular correspondence from a few other schools.
"Lately it's been just Kentucky, UCF, Alabama, Miami, Air Force, South Florida, and I think that's about it," Myers said.
Myers said his all-time favorite school is the University of Miami.
"Miami (is my favorite) because I'm a diehard Miami fan," Myers said. "I have a couple schools that I would like to recruit me. Tennessee, LSU, Georgia, and Texas. Those would be my early favorites too."
Myers, who is 5-foot-8 and 160 pounds, is being recruited to play cornerback and wide receiver. He participated in the Tuscaloosa Nike camp this past April and there he recorded a camp third-best time of 4.38 seconds in the forty-yard dash. He has also camped at UCF and South Florida this summer.
T.C. Myers is best friends with fellow Pace teammate D.J. Norris, a tight end.
"I'd like to play big time football," Myers said. "I'm also going to think about my academics. I want to get a good education. My friend D.J. Norris, I'd like to play with him somewhere. He's my best friend."
Myers was named to the Pensacola All-Area team on defense last season.
"I had 4 interceptions, tackles I had around 30 because cornerbacks don't make many tackles, and about 10 pass breakups," Myers said. "On offense I was a backup running back and I had 300 yards rushing on the year and 5 touchdowns."
Myers has a core grade point average of 3.3 and scored a 17 on the ACT in his first attempt.
