Position: Offensive Line
Size and Speed: Dreisbach stands 6-foot-5, weighs 325 pounds and runs the 40 in 5.3. Dreisbach has decent strength as he works out with 315 on the bench. His max on the bench is over 350 and his squat is in the plus 400-pound range.
Honors: N/A.
Statistics: N/A.
Favorite Colleges: Dreisbach is hearing from Stanford, Oregon and Washington the most at this time.
Skinny: Dreisbach is another one of those players who has a good top ceiling and hasn’t come close to reaching his full potential. Dreisbach is the kind of player who doesn’t know how good he can be and once the light truly turns on for him; he could be a very dominating offensive lineman on the D-I level.
“David has tremendous potential,” South Hills head coach Steve Bogan said. “He has everything that a D-I school looks for. He has outstanding quickness for a young man his size.”
“David is also very athletic,” Bogan said. “When David gets fired up he is dominating.”
For now Dreisbach will have to be considered a sleeper prospect with a huge upside. His size and quickness alone make him a prospect to watch.
It will be interesting to see how this behemoth develops in the fall of 2003.
