Micah Bowens could be one of the next big-time players at Las Vegas Bishop Gorman and his recruitment has already started to take off.

The 2020 prospect who’s expected to be Gorman’s next quarterback after UCLA four-star commit Dorian Thompson-Robinson graduates, kind of like how Thompson-Robinson waited his turn to take over for Ohio State freshman Tate Martell, has already landed an offer from Arizona and plenty of other interest.

In the last few weeks, Bowens took an unofficial visit to Oregon that went really well. The Ducks have not offered yet but the 2020 quarterback is still highly intrigued.

“I really liked that as soon as we got there we were greeted by some of the coaches,” Bowens said. “You can tell they treat their players really well and treat them like family.

“The lounge was also really cool and we got the chance to play some games which was also really cool for all the recruits to get to know each other. Being able to stand on the sideline for pregame and the front section was also a really cool part we had fun with. Overall, I had a really good time and each time I’m there it makes me even more interested.”

Bowens, who performed well at Oklahoma’s camp this summer and impressed the Sooners’ coaching staff, could see his recruitment take off - especially this offseason.

Arizona remains his lone offer as his sophomore season enters the latter stages but he said plenty of other interest has been coming in, so more offers could be on the way.

“I’ve received a few letters of interest from mostly Washington, TCU, and Arizona State,” Bowens said.
