Pac-12 team looking at Riggins

Despite some outstanding efforts on the 7on7 circuit, D.J. Riggins has not picked up any offers yet.
But the Westlake Village (Calif.) Oaks Christian running back said spring practice just started last week and he's optimistic that things could pick up soon.

"We started spring practice on Wednesday and a whole bunch of colleges came down," Riggins said. "The main thing they're saying when they come down is they want to look at me and Brandon (Dawkins) and how well we work together.
"They want to see what we can do and every day after spring practice I talk with the coaches and they like what they see, they're going to go back to their schools, talk to their offensive coordinators and the position coaches and see what they want to do with me."
Utah has shown interest for some time and Riggins recently visited there. That's one team that continues to be involved in his recruitment and the 6-foot, 190-pound recruit said Cal has really gotten in the mix as well.
The Golden Bears' coaches have told Riggins they like his game a lot and the Oaks Christian standout is hopeful things will pick up even more soon.
He thinks his first offer could be close.
"I talked to Cal on Thursday and they said they loved me," Riggins said. "I hadn't really talked to them because the old staff left so they haven't been talking to me. They're going to start doing that again. No offer yet but hopefully in the next week or so I'll get it."
Riggins, who shined at the Rivals Camp in Phoenix, is hearing from other programs as well but Utah and Cal seem to be the most involved at this point. His cousin, Lucky Radley, plays for the Utes and Riggins was hopeful an offer would come during his visit but it did not.
Cal is right there now as well so as his recruitment continues Riggins said he's just going to keep working hard and maybe offers will come in soon.
"The 7on stuff, hopefully they all saw that, and maybe they want to see it in person," Riggins said.
"They're coming to the practices and I'm doing the same thing I've been doing in 7on7 so they're getting a feel for me. They'll be looking at my highlight tape so hopefully I get those offers soon."
