Pac-12 pull for Garner

Michael Garner said things have been going relatively slowly in his recruitment but he still has that offer from Arizona and that stands out so far to the 2014 prospect.
The San Diego (Calif.) Madison wide receiver played in high school with Arizona commits Pierre Cormier and Lee Walker and that could play an even bigger factor for Garner as he considers his recruitment.

Garner, a 5-foot-10, 155-pound recruit, said a part of him thinks going to play with his high school teammates would be great but he's also considering going out on his own and making his own mark.
"They're still my only offer so of course I'm going to look at them seriously," Garner said of the Wildcats. "I'm thinking about going to their junior day. I got the invite and they sent me the schedule for the junior day.
"We're teammates so of course I'd like to play with them after high school. Also, I want to do my own thing but I'd still love to play alongside them."
Recruiting has been slow but not stopped in its tracks.
The San Diego Madison standout who finished with more than 400 receiving yards and six touchdowns in his junior season said two other programs have reached out recently to show interest.
Florida State, Oregon State, UCLA, Vanderbilt and Washington have also been involved early on.
"Everything is going well," Garner said.
"For the first time I talked to Boise State. They came to visit my school and San Jose State said they're going to start looking at me next year. Other than that there's nothing really new yet in my recruitment."
