Joshua Pakola is still working through the recruiting process but one Pac-12 team stands out most and another group is still being seriously considered.

“Stanford is definitely top,” Pakola said.

The 2019 four-star defensive end/linebacker from Mountain View (Calif.) St. Francis has always liked the Cardinal and once they offered the Pac-12 powerhouse shot right to the top of his list.

Oregon has also been high on Pakola’s list but now the Ducks are being seriously considered along with UCLA, Georgia and Washington.

As for Stanford, it could be tough to beat.

Throughout his early recruitment, Pakola has talked highly about the Stanford program both on and off the field and he continues to think only good things about the entire situation.

“It’s always been on the top of the list,” Pakola said.

“Stanford’s mix of academics and athletics stands out to me the most. I’ve been able to create a wonderful relationship with much of the staff and even some freshmen players. I feel so much at home there. The convenience of it being 20 minutes away from home is just a plus.”

So far, the 2019 four-star prospect from Northern California has landed offers from Arizona, Cal, Colorado, Fresno State, Georgia, Notre Dame, Oregon, Oregon State, San Jose State, Stanford, UCLA, Utah, Washington and Washington State.
