Gerard Wicks remains committed to Washington State but it's a soft pledge and the three-star running back from Long Beach (Calif.) Poly is planning some other visits.
The 5-foot-11, 195-pound recruit said he's planning to visit Pullman sometime in November and he's also heading to Boise State in the middle of the month.
That trip could be important because Wicks has had lots of interest in the Broncos throughout his recruitment and he has some friends who play on the team. Dates are still being worked out.

"(Boise State) is up there in the running," Wicks said.
"I have a friend who goes there and my cousin goes there as well and plays cornerback. I want to get up there and see if it's good for me."
Wicks has been committed to Washington State since June but the Long Beach Poly prospect has made it no secret he'd still look at others. Since his pledge, Wicks has been opening to hearing from other programs.
Boise State, Colorado State and Nevada have also offered and Wicks said he's also hearing a lot from Washington, Utah, Fresno State and Utah State.
Because Wicks hasn't taken any visits yet, the three-star said his commitment remains soft until he figures out which situation works best for him.
This month could be important in determining his future.
"I would say it's soft and I'm looking around," Wicks said.
"I haven't been anywhere yet so I don't really know how I would like the places. It's pretty soft right now."
