Kentrell Love has been talking to the USC coaching staff for a while and finally the Trojans decided to offer.
Now the three-star defensive back from Corona (Calif.) Centennial has some serious thinking to do especially since he's been committed to Washington since late July.
"Pretty much they told me they like my physical play and how tall I am," Love said. "I can cover a lot of ground so they've been liking how I've been playing and they offered.
"They were recruiting me over the summer and they said if I play well like I was last year then they would offer me during the playoffs and that's what they did."
Love has been in communication with USC defensive backs coach Keith Heyward throughout his recruitment.
USC is in the middle of a national coaching search after firing Steve Sarkisian so Love isn't going to rush any decisions. The three-star said he remains committed to Washington but that he will take a closer look at the Trojans now that he's offered.
"I'm still pretty much committed to Washington," Love said. "It's a blessing and my parents were telling me to consider USC and look into it.
"I'm going to take a closer look and see the options."
The Corona Centennial standout said he is planning to take his official visit to Washington in January. At this point, Love said no other trips are planned.
