Pac-10 offer on the way for Texas RB

Klein (Texas) High School has been a hotbed for college recruiters. One prospect catching fire is running back C.J. Palmer.
The 6-foot, 210-pound power back rushed for 1,600 yards and 16 touchdowns for the Bearkats in 2007 and earned a first-team all-district selection. Palmer has received offers from Montana State and Eastern New Mexico, but one Pac-10 school is close to extending Palmer's first Division I offer.

"We are going up to Washington State the second week of January and the coaches are going to offer," father Calvin Palmer said. "If he gets an offer from them I think he will commit. If not, his second choice is Montana State. We will be going up there in January also."
While schools like Palmer as a running back, he could project as a fullback, H-back or linebacker. Palmer rushed for 1,000 yards as a sophomore, but he started on defense as a junior.
