Pac-10 offer in hand for Turner

It was a Pac-10 school that has sent the first scholarship offer to Houston Cypress Falls running back Shane Turner.
Turner, the 5-foot-9, 170-pounder, found out a few weeks ago that Arizona would be the first school to send an offer his way. As for now, he's staying open and receiving interest from many other schools.

"I was excited you know with it being my first offer," Turner said. "One of the coach's came down to our school and then the next week, I got a letter in the mail saying that they were offering."
Turner added that schools such as Northwestern, Fresno State, Iowa State, and Missouri have all been showing attention. He's keeping an open mind early on in the process.
"I'm looking at everybody," he said. "I'm basically looking for good coaches and a good school education-wise. It's mainly that."
Coming up, Turner says that he plans to go to camps at Oklahoma State, TCU, and Houston over the next few weeks. There he's looking to show his skills and possibly earn his next offers.
As a junior, Turner rushed for 1,290 yards and 14 touchdowns averaging 7.5 yards per carry. He says that he's a guy that doesn't do anything fancy.
"I guess I would just say I get the ball and I run with it," he said. "I don't really dance around a lot."
