"I was just excited to get it because it shows that all the hard work is starting to pay off and it's a relief," Green said. "I plan on going up there for a visit sometime. The recruiting coach is pretty cool, I like him."
This summer the prospect already attended camp at Boston College and was at Syracuse when we talked to him.
"The coaches at Boston College were really impressed with me during my shuttle and when I worked out," he said. "I like Boston College, it's a nice place and the coaches are really nice guys. I like the new field and facility they have. Syracuse's dome stadium looks really nice and I'll be checking out everything else including the facilities soon."
Green is looking at attending at least one more camp this summer at Maryland.
"I'm waiting to go to their camp to see how I really like it there," he said. "I just want to see all the facilities and see what stands out to me."
The defensive end has also been hearing from a handful of other schools including Pittsburgh, Akron and Virginia. Virginia is a school that interests him a lot.
"UVa was saying something about me playing linebacker there," he stated. "They like my size and speed, so that's a plus. I've never played linebacker before, but I'll try something new if that's what they want me for."
Green is currently favoring Maryland, Boston College and Syracuse. The all-area and second team Carrier Golden Team member plans to wait awhile before making a decision.
"I'm going to weigh my options because I want to be satisfied with my choice," Green said. "I think it'll be pretty long until I decide just so I know for sure. I know a lot of people commit early and sometimes it doesn't work out for them."
