PA OL planning visits

Offensive lineman R.J. Hughes of Monroeville (Pa.) Gateway has continued to see more interest come his way, and as a result has planned to hit the road later this month and throughout the spring and summer.
"Recruiting is going well," said Hughes. "I'm either going to Pitt or Toledo's junior day on the 31st and I'm visiting Toledo and Iowa in May."

These will be the first visits for Hughes, who is also piecing together his summer camp schedule at this time.
"I got invites to a bunch, but the only one I know for sure I'm going to is Michigan," said Hughes, who is 6-foot-5 and 295-pounds. "I'm also looking at Kent State, Duke, West Virginia and Syracuse."
Aside from all of these camps, Hughes will also participate in the Rivals/VTO Camp in Pittsburgh on April 15th.
As Hughes begins to gain information on the teams recruiting him, he is piecing together an important list of things he is hoping to find in a program.
"I'm looking for a school that has a really close team and has lots of tradition," said Hughes, who is being recruited as a left tackle. "I'm looking for a stable program that is preferably close to home, but that's not that important."
While Hughes is still open to any school, he did follow one particular program while growing up.
"I was definitely a big Pitt fan since it was close," said Hughes. "I've gone to every game. Then I also followed Michigan, Ohio State and West Virginia."
