PA lineman wide open

Butler (Pa.) Butler Area offensive tackle/defensive tackle Joshua Wachter plays on both sides of the ball and is equally effective at either position. While unsure of his position in college, his demeanor on the field will help him succeed at either slot.
“I am just looking for my major -- computer engineering -- and a good football program,” he commented. He currently lists no favorites, but has been receiving interest from Boston College, Indiana, Iowa, NC State, Syracuse, West Virginia, and Ohio University. He has not attended any camps yet, but plans to go to Syracuse and Iowa this summer.

A two-year starter, Wachter stands 6-foot-6, weighs 260 pounds, and runs the 40-yard dash in 5.3 seconds. He has a bench max of 280 pounds and a squat max of 405 pounds. He also plays basketball, “just to keep in shape.”
“I am determined and full of heart and energy,” Joshua commented. He approaches the game the same way one of the top sports figure approached a different sport.
“I play like Michael Jordan,” Wachter said. “It is just his intensity and determination.”
Joshua projects as a full qualifier with a 3.2 GPA.
