PA DL impressed with Panthers, Terps

At 6-foot-5, 273-pounds and with 4.9-second speed in the 40-yard dash, Jason Pinkston is certainly an attractive defensive line prospect coming out of Pittsburgh (Pa.) Baldwin.
Pinkston already has seven offers from schools including Connecticut, Iowa, Maryland, Penn State, Pittsburgh, West Virginia and Akron.

The defensive tackle and end prospect also recently took visits to both Pittsburgh and Maryland for their junior days.
"It was pretty nice at Pittsburgh, I liked it a lot, but I've been there a couple times," he said. "The facilities are very nice and they stuck out."
As for his trip to Maryland, he was very impressed.
"It was a really nice place, I like that place a lot," he said. "The coaches, facilities and stadium were nice. The coaches, the coaching staff and some of the players told me real good things about the school."
Asked about whether it put them in the lead, he said.
"I'm not sure on whether they're the leader, but I really liked it."
Besides taking in offers and visiting schools, Pinkston has also seen interest from some major college programs.
"Oklahoma, Kansas State, Notre Dame, Wisconsin, Louisville and Nebraska have talked to me recently," he said. "I like most of them, but I have to visit to see more about the schools, because it's hard since they are so far away."
The spring Pinkston is planning to take in visits to Notre Dame's junior day on April 2nd, the Nike Camp at Penn State and the Adidas Combine at Pittsburgh in April. He is also looking at attending the Blue Chip Combine at Rutgers in May.
