PA backer close to landing more offers

Clarion (Pa.) Clarion Area linebacker T.J. Armstrong holds one offer at this time. However, the 6-foot-2, 220-pounder has taken a number of visits in recent weeks and could be on the verge of more offers soon.
"I have an offer from Buffalo," he said. "Outside of that, I just got back from Colorado and they like me a lot.

"I've also visited Pittsburgh, Boston College, Kent State and Buffalo."
Did any of the recent trips impress?
"Yeah, Colorado did," he stated. "They have a really nice campus and just the whole environment is good. They have a great coaching staff and I just really liked it there.
"They told me that I'm in the top five linebackers that haven't received offers yet. If someone else commits, I might get an offer or else I'll have to go to camp."
More visits are coming up for Armstrong as he plans to head to Penn State this week followed by a possible trip to Pittsburgh on Saturday.
Currently, the linebacker is busy with track.
"I'm doing the 4x1, 4x4 and javelin," he said. "Our 4x4 team has gone to states ever since my freshmen year and this year we should medal."
Meanwhile, last season Armstrong posted 123 tackles and seven sacks as he earned district player of the year honors on defense and first team all-state.
