Owusu likes Minnesota visit

Princeton (N.J.) The Hun School defensive end Ernest Owusu is one of the fastest rising prep school players in the country, and the 6-foot-4, 245-pounder took his first official visit this weekend to Minnesota.
It was a visit he said he won't forget any time soon.

"I loved it," Owusu said. "I just liked how big the school was, the coaches were really great to talk to, and the players were also very impressive. I was hosted by Garrett Brown, and he was really cool.
"I got to a prep school in the New England area, and he went to a prep school in Connecticut. He talked about being from New England and then coming over to Minnesota and really liking it. We really clicked."
Owusu will visit Boston College next weekend and also has offers from Kansas, Missouri and Western Michigan to consider. But all of those schools will have a tough time measuring up to what he saw this weekend at Minnesota.
"It's only two minutes from the city, but it's also a real college feeling," Owusu said. "I really liked that. I spent a lot of time talking to David Lockwood. He was always around telling me about the school and what it would be like to go there."
After the BC visit next week, Owusu said he will come back from Christmas break and think about what other schools he'll visit.
