Owusu keeps adding to list

There were rumors circulating this past weekend that Francis Owusu went to the USC scrimmage attended by many other top recruits but the Westlake Village (Calif.) Oaks Christian wide receiver said he didn't make it.
That would have been huge news especially since Owusu proved to be one of the top receivers in the West after his performance with the 1925 All-Stars at the New Level Athletics Elite 7on7 in Las Vegas.

Even though Owusu didn't make it to USC there is still a lot going on with his recruitment with the latest being an offer from Notre Dame.
"It's definitely a big one," Owusu said.
"I'm truly excited about it. I called the coaches up a couple days ago and they said they were really excited. They saw my film and really liked it. Jimmy Clausen from my high school obviously played there and so that should be really good."
Owusu, whose brother Chris played at Stanford, said he would like to visit Notre Dame at some point but nothing is scheduled yet.
The 6-foot-3, 195-pound prospect said he's hoping to take trips to some schools further away from home but a lot of coaches will be coming to Oaks Christian in the spring so he's not sure if he'll take those visits at all.
"I'm going to try to make some trips out to the East Coast if I can but some of those coaches said they'll come to my school to see me at spring practice," Owusu said. "I might just wait for them to come out here."
So far, Owusu has offers from Florida, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Oregon State, Stanford, Tennessee, UCLA, Vanderbilt, Washington State and Wisconsin.
He said Oregon and Arizona State are showing increased interest so he hopes to hear more from those two Pac-12 schools moving forward.
"I've gotten a couple letters from Oregon and I'm really excited about that," Owusu said. "I called Arizona State a couple times and they've seen my film and they're really excited, too. It gets busier every week so I'm really excited about that."
Rivals.com rates Owusu as the No. 37 wide receiver in the 2013 class but after his recent performance in Las Vegas the Oaks Christian standout could move up in the next round of rankings.
