Owusu impressed by Pac-12 trip

Stanford had always been one of the favorites for Francis Owusu and after his weekend visit there the Westlake Village (Calif.) Oaks Christian wide receiver said his feelings were only reinforced.
"It was awesome," Owusu said. "Right when we got there we met for a couple minutes and then we toured around the campus and it was beautiful. It was just a great trip all around.

"It's always been a top school for me and this trip only helped it even more."
Owusu, who finished with 35 receptions for 705 yards and eight touchdowns in his junior season, said he talked with all the coaches during the trip and really hit it off with many of them.
He has not considered a commitment yet but the Cardinal is definitely high on his list.
"I talked to all the coaches throughout the day," Owusu said. "They said they're very excited about me and I'm also very excited about them, too."
During his weekend visit, the Oaks Christian standout landed another Pac-12 offer from Washington State. It's another program he'll research especially since first-year coach Mike Leach is known to use his wide receivers often.
"I heard from them (Saturday)," Owusu said. "I called one of the coaches and they said they wanted to offer me. The coach I talked to said a lot about coach Leach and how he's a great leader and how much he uses the wide outs."
So far, the 6-foot-3, 195-pound prospect has landed offers from Florida, Nebraska, Oregon State, Stanford, UCLA, Vanderbilt, Washington State and Wisconsin and he's hearing from others.
Over the next few months, Owusu said he would like to take unofficial visits to Nebraska, Wisconsin, Vanderbilt and Florida. If all those trips cannot be squeezed in then Owusu plans to visit the remainder over the summer before making his commitment.
