Owi catches four offers

Miami (Fla.) Norland wide receiver Dareen Owi is a big target at 6-foot-3, 190-pounds, but he believes it is what he does away from the ball that makes him stand out to college coaches.
"Our coach works a lot with us on run blocking, so I am pretty good at that and you see that on the film," Owi said. "I am also a big receiver who can go up there and get the ball. I also run good, solid routes and I have soft hands."

Those skills have landed Owi four offers during the spring.
"So far I have been offered by Buffalo, Bowling Green, Purdue, and Illinois State," Owi said. "Buffalo told me they need a receiver, a big receiver, because they have at least two graduating. They saw my film and said I am perfect for their system. Bowling Green said that they have a lot of small guys but want a big receiver. He said he liked my footage when he saw it. Illinois State said that they also have a lot of small receivers but he likes a big receiver like me who can go up there and get it. Purdue said their offense is a like a pro-style offense and they like a big receiver at their 'X' (position). They said I would be a good possession receiver and a good run blocker for them."
In addition to his offers, Owi is receiving interest from Florida Atlantic, Florida International, Michigan State, Tennessee State, and Western Kentucky.
Owi has yet to take any visits but said that he plans to during the summer and then into the fall. No specific plans have been made at this point.
With regards to making a final decision, Owi isn't in any rush at this stage of his recruitment.
"I plan to just let the season play out and see who offers me," Owi said. "Whichever school offers me the best education is going to be the right place for me, with football second."
