Owens keeps recruitment open

Darian Owens is receiving a lot of early attention and he hasn't even sent out his complete junior season highlight tape yet.
"I haven't finished yet," Owens said. "It will be done soon though. I think it would be best to send it to a bunch of schools just for more exposure."

The four-star wide receiver from Fresno (Calif.) Clovis West has already been offered by California, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, UCLA, USC, Washington and Washington State.
Owens, rated as the No. 19 wide receiver and the No. 109 prospect in the 2016 class by Rivals.com, could be getting really close to another Pac-12 offer as well.
"Arizona has been hands-down showing the most interest," Owens said.
"I just recently got off the phone with one of their coaches and they've followed me on Twitter and I've been getting written letters. We're going to try to send my highlight film to Arizona to try to get an offer. They've been showing me a lot of attention lately."
It has been rumored that USC was the early favorite in his recruitment but the Clovis West standout said that is not the case.
Owens wants to make it perfectly clear that he remains wide open to all the programs that have offered or want to get interested and that his recruitment is still in the early stages even if he does have interest in the Trojans.
"My recruiting options are open," Owens said. "I'm not headed to USC or any other school. I haven't made up my mind yet. I haven't even thought about it.
"I guess people can get that but my options are open."
In six games this season, Owens had 52 catches for 886 yards and six touchdowns.
