Owens considers some trips

Darian Owens has been committed to UCLA since April but that will not stop the four-star wide receiver from taking all five official visits. The Fresno (Calif.) Clovis West standout will take trips to Nebraska, Oregon State, Washington, UCLA and Oklahoma through the fall.

Owens has not finalized any visit dates yet but he said over the next week or so he should have all that set through the fall.

WHAT'S NEXT?: Owens wants to make it clear that even though he is taking other official visits it still sounds like he's still strong in his commitment to the Bruins. Over the next few weeks, the four-star prospect will finalize his dates for all his trips and then focus on his senior season. The Fresno Clovis West prospect said Nebraska is coming after him the hardest at this point in his recruitment.
IN HIS WORDS: "You only get this opportunity once," Owens said. "I feel that this will be a fun experience. It is a verbal and I didn't sign any LOI. I feel that the recruiting process is still open."
RIVALS' REACTION: One source says that Owens is completely committed to UCLA and that his official visits might not even happen. That's a good sign for the Bruins because Owens has tremendous athleticism and could be a huge downfield threat in their offense. Owens could still hit the road and see some schools but there's a good chance he doesn't take any visits at all except UCLA this fall.
