Spring (Texas) DeKaney three-star defensive end Isadore Outing parted ways with California in December, and as signing day nears, he is looking closely at his options.
He holds an offer from Texas State. Montana State is in the mix, and Boise State and Nebraska have also been showing some interest. This week he also added an offer from Memphis, and after getting to know the coaches a little bit, he now plans to take an official visit to check out the Tiger program.
While he has yet to see the campus, there are a few aspects of the Memphis program which caught his attention.
"It's a rebuilding stage for them and I think I'll be able to go in help them out a lot," Outing said.
The Memphis visit will be his second of the recruiting process. His first visit was to Montana State in early January.
"I think it was pretty cool with the mountains and the snow," Outing said. "There were pretty nice people up there. It's a good place. It's kind of far away from home. That's the only downfall about it, but it's still in consideration."
He is still considering a third official visit to a program like Texas State, but those plans have not been set in stone at this time.
Outing is not ready to name a leader at this point.
