OU, UConn offer New York DE

Brooklyn (N.Y.) Abraham Lincoln defensive end Ishaq Williams has received plenty of offers by now, but it's always exciting to receive others.
Oklahoma and UConn are the latest schools to extend offers to the 6-foot-6, 220-pound defensive end from the Empire State.

"(The) Oklahoma (offer) kind of caught me by surprise," Williams admitted. "They're a big-time school. They're saying they want me to play defense so I've got no problem with that.
"UConn could go either way. Their tight ends coach is recruiting me and he likes me as a tight end, but their defensive coach also likes me as a defensive player."
While Williams has some tentative plans and an idea of what he would like to do in the near future.
He is thinking about visiting UConn, and he said he would like to make a trip down to Florida before too long.
"When they (Florida) offered I spoke to them then, but I haven't talked to them this week," he said on Saturday afternoon.
Williams said he would not make an early decision, and that he plans on taking all of his official visits in the fall.
