Others Moving In On Massachusetts Star

Gloucester (Ma.) St. John’s Prep offensive lineman Jonathan Loyte is readying himself for a long trip coming up.
“I’m going to junior day at Stanford on May 19,” said the 6-foot-6, 250-pounder who can also play tight end and defensive end. “I got invited by coach Teevens in a hand-written letter and I like everything about Stanford.”

However, that doesn’t mean that the Cardinal have taken the lead in the race for the talented New Englander.
“Right now Boston College is first with Michigan State, Maryland, Stanford and Notre Dame right there as well,” he said. “I like the campus and program at BC and I’ve been there numerous times.”
Loyte also likes the other four on his short list.
“Michigan State has good tradition and great coaches while Maryland has a nice campus and they’re heading in the right direction,” he explained. “Stanford – what’s not to like? And Notre Dame has all that tradition and the program is among the elite.”
Loyte will camp at Michigan State, Maryland, Stanford and possibly Notre Dame and BC. He expects many more coaches to come through his school over the next few weeks and plans on making a decision sometime during his season. Loyte is receiving mail from more than 40 different schools and boasts offers from BC, Maryland and Vanderbilt.
