After a long, stressful recruitment, Brock Ruble will be ready to announce his college decision on Friday. The offensive tackle from Hyattsville (Md.) DeMatha will host one more coach for an in-home visit before he makes his decision public.
"I'm meeting with Coach (Dave) Doeren from N.C. State on Wednesday night," said the 6-foot-8, 321-pound Ruble. "On Friday I'll be announcing my decision at DeMatha."
Ruble's final decision comes down to N.C. State, Florida State and Maryland.
"All three of these institutions rank very highly in my mind in academics and athletics," he said. "It's been a really hard decision for me because there are so many qualities that I like about each school. I sat down with my parents and I think we have pretty much figured it out, so I'm excited about it."
Over the past two weeks, Ruble's house has been a busy place.
"Last week on Monday Coach (Richard) McNutt and Coach U (Mike Uremovich) from N.C. State were here," Ruble said. "On Wednesday last week, Coach (Randy) Edsall and Coach (Mike) Locksley from Maryland came by. On Monday, Coach Sal (Sunseri) and Coach (Rick) Trickett from Florida State were in my home and Coach Doeren will be here tomorrow."
Ruble took an official visit to Florida State on October 25, Maryland on November 22 and N.C. State on November 29.
