Pennington (N.J.) Pennington Prep offensive tackle Jordan Page is coming off a standout performance at the NUC. At this point, the 6-foot-5, 302-pounder claims one offer, but is getting plenty of other interest.
"I did really well at the NUC," he said. "I did really well against Andrew Brown (2014) in Virginia. I knocked him down twice and had good feet and good size.
"I felt like I did really well. The first time I went against somebody they got me inside. I just had to correct that early and then I felt comfortable. I was using my hands well."
Offers haven't started to roll yet as Temple is the one scholarship to date.
"I'm getting a lot of other interest from Penn State, West Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina, NC State, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, Connecticut, South Carolina, Purdue and Michigan," he said. "They all have sent handwritten letters in the last week."
Page claims a few schools stand out.
"I really like Penn State, Temple, Maryland, NC State, North Carolina and Pittsburgh," he said. "I just really like the interest they have shown in me and I have a great relationship with the coaches at those schools. Also, the academics are really, really good."
On Saturday, Page is heading to Rutgers for a visit. Meanwhile, in the past week and a half he visited Pittsburgh, North Carolina, NC State and Maryland. Did any of the schools impress?
"Actually, all of them really impressed me," he said. "North Carolina I came in at night and they were really personable. Pittsburgh's coaching staff sat down and talked a lot. I know Coach Brattan at Maryland and NC State I had a great time talking to my recruiting coach there."
As he evaluates more schools, Page is looking for a few things.
"I want to see how the coach's coach," he said. "I want to know how they coach their linemen and how helpful they are. I want to see how the environment is and see the interest level. I always want to see what the coaches still want to see from me, what I can work on."
