"I'm not really worried about the distance to the school, as I'm looking more at the football program and the NFL prospects in playing there," Jeromey said. "The coaches and academic standards will also be a factor. I'm looking for a good psychology program to major in for my degree."
Jeromey will take an unofficial visit to Kansas State October 20th for the Texas A&M game and probably one to Texas A&M for a game after that. Jeromey attended camps at Texas A&M, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Notre Dame this year, so he is familiar with their coaches and facilities.
He is planning on visiting the following schools:
Kansas State - official visit set for December 7th - "I made an unofficial visit there and was very impressed with Bill Snyder and they've already offered."
Arizona State - official visit set for December 14th - "My recruiter from there, Jeff Grimes, treats me like an equal and I liked that, so I want to find out more about their facilities and things."
Oklahoma State - offical visit set for January 20th - "The recruiter, Coach Hanson, treats me nice and I want to learn more about their program on a visit."
Texas A&M - "The tradition of the 12th man in awesome. J. B. Grimes and B. J. Henderson are good line coaches and R. C. Slocum is one of the best coaches in college football, in my opinion. My dad is an alumnus and so they would have to be the favorite."
Nebraska - "They are always a powerhouse and in the national championship running. They are also a good NFL stepping stone."
The most impressive coaches he's talked to - "Coach Hanson of Oklahoma State and Jeff Grimes of Arizona State really impressed me with the way they talked to me as an equal, not as a kid," Jeromey said.
His decision will come after the season between November 9th and December 14th if everything goes as he has planned.
