OT Lowery visits three schools

Virginia Beach (Va.) Ocean Lakes offensive tackle Chaz Lowery is taking visits to colleges. The 6-foot-5, 254-pounder has been to three ACC schools already this spring including a trip this past weekend to Chapel Hill.
"I just really enjoyed and love the visit to North Carolina on Wednesday," he said. "I also went to Wake Forest and duke a little while ago. I was hoping to get to Boston this weekend, but that might have to wait until later in the summer."

Lowery is coming off the trip to North Carolina, what did he think?
"I toured the campus and met with Coach Browning," he said. "I spent a lot of time going around the facilities. I went to an offensive line meeting and then was with the team at practice. I got to talk to the strength coach about adjusting some things in my workouts. I really, just enjoyed the welcoming feel from both the coaches and players. The team as a whole looked very promising and it's a really strong program."
Meanwhile, what about the Blue Devils and Demon Deacons?
"I liked each of them as well," he said. "They both brought things to the table that I didn't expect. Duke is old in their offensive line, so that provided insight to a possible quick playing time if they offered.
"Wake Forest was the same and provided me with a great opportunity to see their practice and facilities."
Lowery is still without a scholarship offer at this time.
"Who knows what's going on there. I guess I just have to hang on and wait."
