OT Hood plans unofficials

Recruiting is starting to heat up for three-star offensive tackle Daniel Hood. The 6-foot-5, 255-pounder has dropped a couple schools from his list and is beginning to look into visits this fall.
"I haven't made any official decisions yet, but a couple unlucky situations came up," he said. "Virginia Tech already told me they signed the linemen they need for this year. The same situation happened with Florida State. A player who was committed to LSU changed his commitment. I can't fault either team for that. It makes my decision a little easier, it may be fate."

In the meantime, Hood is looking into visits.
"Honestly, the main schools I'm looking at for visits right now are Ole Miss, Auburn and Georgia Tech," he said. "I've been in the most contact with those schools recently.
"I'm thinking about an unofficial to Georgia Tech on September 20th when they play Mississippi State. The next weekend on the 27th I'm looking at Auburn when they play Tennessee. I have nothing planned for Ole Miss. I'm trying to get in contact with their coaches."
Following those trips, Hood would like to take some officials.
"I don't know when I'm going to decide," he said. "I may only take two or three officials."
