OT Dorrestein has spring plans

Plainfield (Ill.) Central junior offensive tackle prospect Perry Dorrestein (6-foot-7, 285 pounds) was one of several in-state prospects at last Saturday's Rivals.com Junior Media Day event.
"I really thought that the Rivals.com junior day was cool," Dorrestein said. "My parents and I were able to gain some valuable information, and the event had some really good speakers. I liked the talk from the coach (Joe Hornback) quite a bit, he made his talk entertaining yet also very informative."

Dorrestein in the meantime has been receiving and filling several tape requests.
"I know that both Nebraska and Iowa have recently requested my junior tape. I would say that about 6-7 schools have requested my junior tape over the last few weeks. My coach (John Jackson) has been helping us get those tapes out as quickly as possible. I've also started to get steady mail from a few new schools like Nebraska, Boston College and Northwestern."
Dorrestein is also hoping to get out this spring and check out a handful of schools.
"I'm hoping to get out and see a few schools in person this spring and early summer. I'm looking at making some unofficial visits to Nebraska, Iowa, Illinois and Wisconsin and possibly a few others."
