OT Battle set for a few camps

Offensive tackle Isaiah Battle out of St. George (Va.) Blue Ridge is holding three offers right now. According to his coach, the 6-foot-7, 260-pounder plans to hit the camp circuit this summer by visiting a few schools.
"We're going to Clemson on June 10th, Georgia on June 12th and later in July we're working on a visit to Tennessee," Blue Ridge head coach Del Smith said. "Virginia Tech wants him to camp along with a number of other schools.

"He's working on visits. The problem is he lives in New York City and that's make it hard economically."
Clemson is the biggest offer for Battle and that came over a month ago.
"He's got the Clemson offer and that's a huge one for him, our school and the program in general," he said. "He likes Clemson and they talked a lot about their learning center and helping him academically. There isn't much bigger that is tops in the ACC and I think it's one of the better football conferences in the country. I've told him if he likes his visit, enjoys his time; I'd encourage him to put it to bed earlier than later.
"He's favoring them. They were the first major offer and I think it's a good fit for him personally."
In the meantime, Battle is working hard in the classroom as well.
"He's really dedicated himself in the last trimester getting all B's and finishing with a 3.0. He's still waiting on his SAT. He's changing his overall academics though and he is realizing how huge of an opportunity this is for him."
