OT Barrick is taking things slow

Offensive tackle Hansen Barrick out of Frederick (Md.) Tuscarora continues to hold one scholarship. The 6-foot-6, 320-pounder is staying put to see what transpires this fall with his recruitment.
"It's been pretty slow the last couple months," he said. "I still have one offer from East Carolina and I haven't committed. I visited there about a month ago and I like it there.

"The campus was nice and the coaches are all real nice. I could really see myself working with them. I don't have a return visit set at the moment."
Currently Barrick is hearing from a few other schools.
"I'm still getting mail from others, a number of I-AA's along with Monmouth, Tennessee and Vanderbilt have all asked for film this season. I'm going to send out my tape after my first three games."
The two-star prospect pulled in an honor recently.
"I was selected for the Crab Bowl," he said. "I'm pretty excited about it. It's an all-star game and I'm honored to be in it."
Meanwhile, practice has just begun for the lineman in preparation for the season opener on September 4th.
